What we collect to sell you The Modern OS and give you access — and, more to the point, what we never see.

Who we are

ReferMe LLC, doing business as Abe Nadimi, a Texas limited liability company. For anything in this policy, including a deletion request, write to abe@nadimi.com.

What we never see

Your workspace never leaves your own storage. The Modern OS renders plain files into a cloud drive or folder you control. Your notes, decisions, memory, projects and edits stay there.

The software contains no telemetry and no analytics. There is no code in it that sends your content to us. We do not receive it, and we could not read it if we wanted to.

One honest qualification: the software runs inside a third-party AI environment — Claude — and that environment reads the files it works on. That is how the product functions. Those files are handled under your AI provider's terms, not ours, and we are not a party to it.

What we do collect

Only what is needed to take payment and grant you access:

  • Your email address — to send your access instructions and account emails.
  • Your GitHub username — because access is delivered by inviting you to a private repository. We capture it when you sign in with GitHub; that sign-in requests no permissions and reads nothing but your username, and we discard the connection immediately afterwards.
  • Your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, which products you hold, your subscription status, and the date you are paid through.
  • Whether your repository invitation was sent and accepted, so we can repair it if it failed.

We do not collect your payment card details. Those go to Stripe and never touch our systems.

Where it goes

WhoWhat they getWhy
SupabaseEmail, GitHub username, Stripe IDs, entitlement statusThe database that records what you bought (hosted in the United States)
StripePayment details, email, billing informationTakes the payment and manages the subscription
ResendEmail address and the message we send youDelivers account email
GitHubYour GitHub usernameReceives the repository invitation that grants access

Each is a processor acting on our instructions. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else.

Separately, if you complete the AI Readiness Assessment elsewhere on this site, that form sends your name and email to Loops, our newsletter platform. That is unrelated to the plugin store and you can unsubscribe from any message it sends.

How long we keep it

For as long as you have a subscription, and afterwards for as long as we need it for tax and accounting records — in practice seven years, which is the retention US tax law expects of the company. You can ask us to delete everything that is not held for that reason at any time.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email abe@nadimi.com and we will act on it within 30 days.

If you are in the EEA or the UK, you have these rights under the GDPR and may also complain to your national data protection authority. Deleting your account data ends your access to the repository; the copy of the software already installed on your machine keeps working, as the terms and licence describe.

Cookies

This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. Stripe sets what it needs to process a payment securely during checkout.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will email you before it takes effect. The date at the top always says when it last changed.
